As a commercial wholesaler of yukata, towels and bedding, we have walked alongside the inn floor for a long time. Trends and facilities change, but "comfortable to use" and "quick to act when trouble arises" are values that do not — that is what we believe.

Holding our own warehouse stock, we respond flexibly on small lots and short lead times. Honouring tradition, we keep proposing what suits the floor today.

History

Our History

1749 (Kan'en 2)

Gonemon Mokichi Otou founds a shop called "Kotobuki-ya."

1895 (Meiji 28)

Kiyojiro Otou renames the house "Otouki Shoten."

1960 (Showa 35)

Otouki Shoten is established as a limited partnership.

1980 (Showa 55)

Reorganised as a joint-stock company (Kabushiki-kaisha).

Today

Specialising in commercial textiles, supplying yukata, obi, towels and bedding to ryokan, hotels and hot-spring facilities.
